Chikhaldara
Home to the only coffee plantation in Maharashtra, it is also well known as an adventure spot. Tourists can also visit the Chikhaldara Wildlife Sanctuary, which is home to a number of animal species like leopards, sloth bears, sambars, barking deer, wild dogs, blue bulls, porcupines, langurs, wild boars and others. Given the fact that a lot of rain water drains down from Chikhaldara, many water conservation projects have been built in the region, thus leading to the formation of reservoirs such as the Bir Dam, Kalapani Dam and the Shakkar Lake
